Fotomuseum Winterthur

The Fotomuseum Winterthur has an international impact and is a leader in the presentation and discussion of photography and visual culture. Works by young and established photographers are skillfully showcased, and the understanding of photographic phenomena in connection with new technologies and digital media is promoted. When awarding the contract, the focus was on achieving clarity in content and structure, while at the same time creating visual appeal through UX design. At a later stage, Station implemented an integrated shop and ticketing system.

FMW Overview

Radically reduced, clearly structured

The clear structure of the website is captivating through the use of typography as a design tool. Despite the complexity and interconnection of the content, it is clearly structured and easily accessible.

Something to see for everyone

On the website, a large part of the collection is publicly accessible and conveniently "scannable." In addition, quick access to information on target group-specific tours – such as for families, school classes, or teenagers – is ensured. Member acquisition is unobtrusively optimized for conversion.

For visitors and professionals

The user experience is designed to meet the needs of the two most important target groups: visitors can quickly find basic information, and professional artist research is possible down to the smallest detail. The comprehensively integrated shop and ticketing system covers all the requirements of a solid e-commerce solution, thus meeting the diverse needs on both sides.
