Espazium
espazium – the Zurich-based publishing house for building culture makes a high-quality contribution to the Swiss construction discourse with its publications and website. As publisher of the TEC21, TRACÉS and Archi journals, it acts as the official publishing body for the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA), with around 20,000 subscribers.
Competitions
espazium wants to make it easier for these subscribers – alongside all other interested architects, planners and structural engineers – to find appropriate project tenders and competitions by introducing a specially developed tender platform. Station designed, developed and launched this platform, which presents open tenders alongside an overview of completed competitions and their winners – all with a modern, Brutalist look that is boldly unconventional.
Education
Later on, espazium decided it wanted to provide its own independent platform for training and education programmes offered by educational institutions in a variety of specialist areas. This also presents a clear overview of ongoing research projects, profiles of specialist stakeholders and articles on current exhibitions and events. The new ‘Education’ platform acts as a training portal for the entire construction industry, and is an important part of the espazium world.
Smart filters and editorial autonomy
A smart combination of search and filter functions allows users to sift through the huge volume of tenders, completed competitions, education and further training opportunities, articles and reports to find the results they want. The search and filter functions work just as clearly and effectively on mobile devices.
The universities involved retain editorial freedom thanks to the communication tool and independent access to the CMS.
Pure Responsiveness
The tender and training platform is designed to be easy to use on all mobile devices. The responsiveness of the web tool was therefore a key consideration. This makes it easy to search for appropriate tender and education/training opportunities, no matter your browser format.
